About Ann Marie
Ann Marie was born in Jamaica and migrated to Pahokee, Florida with her family to be with her grandfather who was a farmworker in the sugarcane industry. She earned a Master of Business Administration from Nova Southeastern University and Bachelor of Science in Health Care Management from Florida A&M University. She serves on several community boards including the Chamber of the Palm Beaches, Planned Parenthood of South, East and North Florida, and is the President of Girls 2 Women. She is a Charter Member of the South Florida Business Journal Leadership Trust, and a member of Leadership Palm Beach County, Leadership Florida, Economic Forum, the Forum Club of the Palm Beaches, U.S. Global Leadership Coalition’s Florida Advisory Committee, National Association of Black Women in Construction, Urban League Young Professionals of Palm Beach County and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
She has won numerous awards for her leadership, business acumen, and community involvement. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, music, dancing, golf, traveling, and meeting new people.

Cannabiziac™ offers on-demand courses, a cannabis-focused incubator and accelerator program, webinars, consulting and coaching services, and coworking spaces. Ann Marie also serves as an educator, consultant, and coach for Cannabiziac™.

She is the president and CEO of The Mosaic Group, an award-winning advertising, marketing, and government relations firm serving clients throughout the US and Caribbean. The firm has managed campaigns and projects ranging from $10,000 to $3 billion.

Honorable Ann Marie was elected by an overwhelming 66% of Palm Beach County voters (over 390,000 voters) in November 2020 to serve as Supervisor for Palm Beach Soil & Water Conservation District, Seat 2. Ann Marie Sorrell was born in Jamaica and migrated to Pahokee, Florida with her family to be with her grandfather who was a farmworker in the sugarcane industry. Growing up in Pahokee, she was rooted in Palm Beach county’s thriving agricultural community and the beautiful Lake Okeechobee which supplies fresh water to residents in Palm Beach, Broward, and Miami-Dade Counties. Ann Marie brings a fresh voice and new Leadership to sustainability, resilience, and conservation matters. She is committed to educating residents and businesses about issues impacting agriculture, water, climate change, and environmental justice
